We attended the meeting of representatives of mosques (informal meeting of knowledgeable people) which was held in University of Waseda, and here is the description of that meeting.

Theme : “Multicultural coexistence and Muslim community”
In this year’s meeting, concerned persons from mosques of Ishikawa, Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Nagoya, Hiroshima and Kagoshima gathered and talked over the problems that Muslim community has. Also, representative of Nagoya mosque gave a presentation with case examples about interchanges with regional inhabitants, relations with local authorities, problems of introducing Islam culture in Japan and multicultural symbiosis in the inside of the Muslim community. There were reports with a lot of examples from other regions too, thus it became a space to have meaningful information in common.
