To those that use Masjid Nagoya, Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Aichi prefectures’ own emergency declarations will be lifted from the 21st. In light of this change, Nagoya Masjid will gradually resume its activities.
[Changes]
・From March 22nd, Isha Prayer will start at 8:00PM
・From March 26th, Jumah prayer will be performed twice, 12:30PM and1:00PM, respectively
[Measures that will continue to be implemented]
・Upon entering the Masjid, all individuals must cooperate with temperature check, the wearing of a mask, and the disinfecting of hands. Those who fail to do so will not be allowed to enter.
・Masjid will be opened for the 5 daily prayers but only Fajr, Maghrib, and Isha will be led by the Imam.
・The first round of Jumah prayer will be performed at 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor of Masjid starting from 12:30PM. Number of people that can enter each prayer room will be restricted in order to maintain an appropriate distance between individuals. Those who are late or unable to enter will be asked to wait in the community room.
The second round of Jumah prayer will be performed in the community room starting from 13:00PM.
・To prevent being in close contact for a long time, the Khutbah will be only 10min long and the prayer will be less than 5min. Please exit the room promptly after you have completed your prayer. To prevent blocking the street for neighbors and people passing by, please do not stand and gather on the sidewalk after prayer.

・With much regret, we announce that Iftar at the Masjid during this Ramadan will be canceled given the risks.
・For now, Taraweeh prayer is planned to be carried out. As for the Itikaf prayer, the decision to carry it out will be decided in May.
When entering the Masjid, individuals must wear masks, and keep appropriate distance when praying. After the prayer, please exit the Masjid promptly. Any individual who has symptoms of fever, has history of traveling overseas in the past 2 months, as well as those that are unable to meet any of the conditions mentioned above, will not be allowed to enter the Masjid.
