Prior to the discussion held amongst representatives of Masjids regarding “Succession/Inheritance of Heritage of Islam in Japan”, Masjid Nagoya had the honor of delivering a keynote speech. With detailed examples from the Masjid, the significant roles played by Japanese converts were emphasized. It was also mentioned that supporting Japanese converts and young Muslims is the key to a successful succession of Masjids to the next generation.

In the latter part of the meeting, young Muslims held a discussion on “The Future of Islam in Japan”. A new initiative, named the “Team Discussion”, was also organized. This was a beautiful gathering where we were enlightened with hopes that the next generation will take on the role of solidifying Islam in Japan.
